What to wear for a run

filed under [   links   running   ]

I often have trouble deciding what to wear when I run. I like to be cozy, but not suffocating in my clothes. My stairwell tends to be colder than the outside - MOST of the time - so I can't just step out into it to figure out what to wear.

One time, i think it was last year, I went out for a run and was SO CHILLED less than 10 minutes into it, with no hope of warming up, that I turned around and came home. [More power to me, though, because I put on more layers and went back out!]

This website allows you to put in the temperature, wind, precipitation conditions, and your desired level of comfort, and it suggests what to wear!

I haven't tried it yet, but I did try it, and it answered with what I would've chosen to wear in those conditions. If you try it, i'd like to know how it works out!

I'm a 28-year-old American who has been living in France since September of 2003. I became a naturalized French citizen on April 21, 2009.

I teach English at one of the universities in Clermont-Ferrand, and I'm doing a doctorate in American civilization and history at the Université Lumière Lyon II in Lyon, France.

I also own and run a small website design company based in the United States. I'm slowly adding French clients as well.
